On Tuesday, May 7, an Info Day on “Policy Coherence for Development (PCD) and Policy Coherence for Sustainable Development (PCSD)” was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Τhis Event was organized by YDAS-3 Directorate for Geographical Policy and Strategic Planning in the context of implementing the recommendations of the 4th Peer Review of Greece’s development co-operation policies and programmes by OECD/DAC.
The Info Day’s key speaker, Ms. Marie-Aurélie Vernin from the European Commission (Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development/DG DEVCO, Unit for SDGs Policy and Coherence), presented the topic: “Towards Policy Coherence for Achieving the 2030 Agenda: Building on the Experience of the European Commission in the Promotion and the Implementation of Policy Coherence for Development”.
The Event included also presentations by Mr. Yannis Eustathopoulos, the National Growth Strategy Coordinator from the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. Nikolaos Trantas, Head of the Office of Coordination, Institutional, International and European Affairs, the General Secretariat of the Government, Mr. Julien Le Tellier, UN Environment / Mediterranean Action Plan – Barcelona Convention Secretariat and Ms. Eleni Nikolaidou, Director YDAS-3 Directorate of Geographical Policy and Strategic Planning.
The Info Day was attended by more than 50 representatives from Ministries and the wider public sector.
