Under the Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the Fetal Medicine/Prenatal Control Program 2022-2025 in Armenia, a highly successful seminar was conducted in Yerevan, showcasing the practical application of new methods in prenatal control and medicine. The event, held on May 20 and 21, garnered significant interest, and received widespread acclaim and extensive press coverage. Four (4) doctors from the Fetal Medicine Foundation led the seminar.
The theoretical segment of the seminar saw the participation of 200 Armenian obstetricians/gynecologists in person, while 50 doctors took part in the practical training. Notably, Mr. Artak Jumayan, the Deputy Minister of Health of Armenia, was present at the opening of the seminar.
As stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding, the Fetal Medicine Unit has been established at the Surb Grigor Lusavorich Medical Centre in Yerevan, integrated within the national health system. The Centre has been refurbished and is now proudly displaying the Greek flag. Additionally, the Prenatal Control Centre has received two (2) new Samsung ultrasound machines, generously donated by the Fetal Medicine Foundation.
