On 27 and 28 May 2023, the first seminar with practical application of the new methods of prenatal control and fetal medicine, conducted by four doctors of the Fetal Medicine Foundation, London took place in the Amphitheater of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo* in Pristina.
The seminar was held in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding for the implementation of the Fetal Medicine / Prenatal Control Program 2022-2025 in Kosovo. It is estimated that more than 75 doctors from the country participated as trainees in the seminar. The Fetal Medicine Foundation also provided two new ultrasound machines.
The event was attended by the Minister of Health of Kosovo, Mr. Arben Vita and the Director of the University’s Gynecology Clinic, Ms. Vlora Ibishi, while the Greek side was represented by the General Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Liaison Office of Pristina, Mr. Leonidas Papakonstantinidis.
The Minister of Health thanked the Greek Government, the Liaison Office of Pristina and the Fetal Medicine Foundation for this program, which is expected to effectively contribute to reducing the high rate of newborn mortality in Kosovo.
