The World Food Program (WFP) of the United Nations has announced the completion of the Benghazi port rehabilitation which was funded through a Greek contribution.
The Greek contribution specifically concerned the renovation of the port’s container warehouse (7,500 square meters), as well as the construction of a corridor (550 meters) connecting Platform No 1 with Platform No 6.
The port of Benghazi is a critical entry point for delivering food and humanitarian assistance to the wider region of North Africa and Sahel.
