25th September 2018: SDGs’ Global Day of Action (#ACT4SDGs)

On 25 September 2015 world leaders adopted the Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs. Each year on the anniversary of this historic day, citizens, institutions, and organizations around the world are called to #ACT4SDGs in a global day of action. It is also a day to mobilize people to take concrete actions, reaffirming the shared global commitment for the achievement of the SDGs. Each action becomes part of a global network of ideas and examples for others to follow.

Actions should generate SDG:
Awareness: increase public awareness of the SDGs among citizens and all stakeholders, especially in the communities that are left behind; eg. Public event/exhibition, presentations in schools, social media campaigns, community dinners etc
Accountability: Empower people with information to help engage others and hold their governments to account; e.g. Public declarations, presentations of MY World citizen voices to governments, petitions etc
Impact: Take individual actions and/or unite with others to make a lasting change towards SDG achievement; e.g. Tree planting, urban regeneration etc
