In particular, during the informal exchange of views with the President of the World Bank, Ajay Banga, the Secretary General expressed our country’s support for the reform of the Multilateral Development Banks and the World Bank, in order to secure private sector resources for the benefit of sustainable development projects.

In the thematic section on reconstruction of Ukraine, the Secretary General noted that Greece is committed to being present in the future reconstruction of the country, with public-private partnerships, in the fields of construction, health and cultural heritage protection, mainly in the region of Odessa. The economic transformation of Ukraine will come through the strengthening of the rule of law, the implementation of reforms in a multitude of sectors and the creation of a pro-investment climate.

Referring to the Team Europe Initiatives (TEIs) in Africa, Mrs. Myrogianni underlined the need to strengthen the humanitarian -development-peace nexus, in the light of the Global Gateway Strategy, the Sustainable Development Goals and the International Law.
