On 25 June 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) and the European Investment Bank (EIB), organized an online informative meeting on “Funding Opportunities from the European Investment Bank under the EU’s Global Gateway Strategy.” The meeting was attended by more than 100 participants, mainly representatives from the private sector.
The event was opened with welcome remarks by the Director General for Development and Humanitarian Aid at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mr. Dimitris Karamitsos-Tziras, and the First Vice-President of the ACCI, Ms. Sofia Kounenaki-Efraimoglou.
From the side of the European Investment Bank, speakers included Ms. Ioanna-Victoria Kyritsi (Director of the Strategy and Business Development Department at EIB Global), who presented on the topic: “Funding Opportunities from the EIB under the Global Gateway” and Mr. Jean-Jacques Soulacroup (Deputy Director of the Corporate Finance Department at EIB Global), who addressed: “Practical Aspects of Cooperation with EIB Global.”
During the discussion, a brief intervention was also made by Mr. Panagiotis Papanastasiou, an official from the Permanent Representation of Greece to the EU, while the Q&A session was moderated by Ms. Eleni Nikolaidou, Head of Z3 Directorate for Development Cooperation Policy.
