The earthquakes of 24 June 2026 in Venezuela resulted in a large-scale humanitarian response, with thousands of dead, injured and homeless, as well as severe material damage, particularly in the northern and coastal regions. Estimates of direct damage reach approximately 37 billion US dollars. International assistance for Venezuela includes rescue teams from many countries, UN coordination and assistance from organizations. Relief efforts focus on shelter, food, water, medical care and debris removal, but challenges remain due to the scale of the disaster and pre-existing conditions in the country.
In this context, Greece contributed the amount of 150,000 euros, assisting in OCHA’s actions to strengthen the humanitarian response in Venezuela.
