Greece was represented at the “Tidewater” High Level Meeting of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC), held in Bonn, Germany, on June 26-27, 2024, by Deputy Director-General of the Directorate-General for Development and Humanitarian Assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Eleni Nikolaidou.
The meeting was co-chaired by the State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mr. Jochen Flasbarth and the Chair of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC/OECD), Mr. Carsten Staur.
The Tidewater meetings of DAC/OECD are held annually, bringing together ministers and heads of development cooperation agencies of DAC members to discuss important and topical development cooperation issues. They are named ‘Tidewater’ after the location of the first such meeting in 1968.
The theme of this year’s meeting was “Development Cooperation: Quo Vadis? Regaining Trust in a Changing Global Environment.”

- Just and Green Transitions
- Promoting Mutual Interests in Times of Confrontative Narratives
- Aligning Priorities around Climate and Development Finance
- Lead-up to the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in 2025
